In 2021, Rev. Kevin Thompson, HSA-UWC subregion 5 director, inspired by the national level True Parents' history project, directed Rev. Larry Krishnek to develop an Alaska History project to collect, preserve and publish historical activities of Rev. Sun Myung Moon and his family members and followers in and/or connected to Alaska, so that the grand heritage of his legacy will be made known to them in a way they can relate to and shall be sustainable for future generations to see.
Rev. Krishnek then sought out interested current and historic Alaska members, including Donna Avey, Jenny Leguineche, Michael Downey and Ken Whitmore, to form a team to develop the project.

Collected the Alaska Sisters' map with attached photos from David Rogers, had it scanned and uploaded to the workspace's drive.
Copied clips of photos from the scanned map and added them to the Seafood Pioneers page.
Created a dictionary of words and hints for word games.
Created the Timeline page and integrated the timeline tool, using the timeline sheet that integrates Mike Mickler's timeline data with data from Alaska members.
Created the "Search Timeline" page and its search engine.
Created the "Today in TPAKHistory" page and code that lists historic events from the timeline that ocurred on the current calendar date in previous years. As more information is added to the timeline, it will be more likely to show something. Winter months don't seem to have much to show.
Added all Alaska-related entries from from Mike Mickler's compilation of True Parents' timeline to this site's timeline.
Created the "Virtual Assistant" page with the embedded Elfsight AI Chatbot.

Digitized thousands of historic photos and video recordings and uploaded them to our online archive, originally stored on Donna Avey's OneDrive.

We are actively seeking out members to interview, who have had any personal history relating to True Parents' activities in or connected to Alaska.
A new "Available Positions" page is under development on the public site, for recruiting purposes and will be published once the Registration form page is ready and the hyperlink can be customized and caught by an embedded script on the Register page to pre-fill the Desired Position field in the form.
A multi-level subscription page is under development for the public website, with each level named after a species of fish that is caught in Alaska.
We are preparing to present the history and future of this project to Rev. Kevin Thompson and to National Director Rev. Demian Dunkley during his upcoming visit to Kodiak for National Ocean Challenge Program 2024.
The presentation will be focussed on the first and last visits of Rev. Moon to Alaska.
The "Timeline" page has been upgraded with events organized into categories, improving visibility and simplifying navigation.
Created the Word Search game. (integration into the website is ongoing)

Developing the process flow management and publishing system.
The AI Chatbot in the "Virtual Assistant" page is being trained as we go.
Podcasting will become a major upgrade for the website, to share snippets and full-featured video compositions of permitted content from interviews and media collected as a more professional production, bringing the website and True Parents' history in Alaska to life, to better engage the interest of website visitors.
Many more interviews are being planned, as we reach out to find as many people of interest as we can, while they still are around.
Additional digital and hard-copy publications will be produced and made available through the website.
We will flesh out the timeline entries with related photos.
More extensive management of permissions for provided content will be developed.
New public website features are under development for subscribing to update notifications and added features will be made accessible upon their completion.
